The analysis settings are bound to the method. On the on-line this always defaults to the "Method Run and Control" tab, while on the off-line it defaults to the "Data Analysis" tab. To modify the data analysis part of the method, you have to click on the "Data Analysis" tab on the left bottom navigation pane. You could do it with just one if you wanted to but if you're often making changes, it could complicate things. The practice I follow is to have 2 separate methods, 1 for running and 1 for data analysis (I usually append a _INT to the method name). If you don't set up the calibration table, you won't get peak identification. So, I do set up a calibration table to identify the peaks but I don't use it for calibration standards and just do all the analysis (standard curve) in excel. ![]() ![]() It's awful, but once you get used to it, you can be pretty proficient with it. Don't feel bad, ChemStation is by far the worst CDS I've ever used, but I've been stuck using it since the 90's (be thankful we're no longer limited to 8.3 filename limitations).
